Bouke & ElvisMatters band had a big kick-off; Bouke rocks Elvis! Their first concert out of about 60, found place in theatre Markant Uden.
It was a fabulous evening, and we couldn't imagine a better start of his tour!
For you, English fans, a little cut-out of my story about the evening. It's a lot of work to put video's, photo's, story and also an English version; so a short version for you all.
During this wonderful concert, Bouke & ElvisMatters band played a whole lot of Elvis classics.
They put together a great setlist, which I won't publice fully, since there will be many more concerts..
Some songs you can think about are; 'One Night With You, My Way, My Boy, An American Trilogy, Suspicious Minds, Walk A Mile In My Shoes, and obviously also Bouke's new single FIRE DOWN BELOW'.
Fun fact; there were actually over 4000 people standing in line to get tickets for this show. How amazing?!
Specially for Peter Verbruggen, who we all know is proudly looking down from up above, Bouke sang 'It's Midnight'. It was Peter's favorite song.
Bouke was praising Elvis and talked about The Tribute Live concerts and his own upcoming It's Now Or Never concerts in ZiggoDome.
Also he told the audience about Fire Down Below; how it was a song for Elvis which he couldn't finish and that Bouke got the approval of Jerry Scheff to finish it.
Bouke picked up the guitar and played a view songs himself.
It was one big party, The band was fabulous and everyone was enjoying so much. Bouke, band, audience.
There were several standing ovations too.
An amazing start. We want more!
If you have the possibility to see a show; GO! You won't regret it. These people are playing with such passion for music, and for Elvis!
